That is a awesome model you have made i really like it, it really stands out with the paint making it stand out good choice of colours and the snakes on the base make the model look even more scary. And welcome to stronghold i hope you put more stuff up here soon.

Thanks

Well, I'm going to be honest, all of your stuff looks ridiculously good. You make me sooo jealous...

The painting on the skink priest's cloak looks really goo. I also am a big fan of Nakai and your chaos dwarves. That GD entrant looks brilliant.

/agree, though I don't really have a thing going on for CD. Lizardmen were my first love too; I really love your stuff. The fat skink, the FSOD (though I wouldn't make it a priest, rather a chief with blessing of Sotek and two handweapons, for mage/artillery hunting), the KROXIGOR... :o
Though I have to be honest and say I like the GW Slann better, I love the way yours really looks like a big frog with bloated cheeks. :)

And I love the strigoi too, which (imo) is better than your banshee though it does look a little more... messy. I love the strips of flesh that hang onto his right arm in contrary to the dude from the other forum.

And the progress you make, which really shows through all of the pics from first to latest sculpt. :o You a Disciple of Rikard? :)

Thankyou muchly for all your positive comments!!

Thumper: A chief you say? But with the lore of metal (sacred host), i can make all artillery obsolete, reduce heavliy armed unit's weapons to dust, plus hawking a big glob of molten silver, doing 2d6 s4 at a single model! BWHAHAHA *ahem*..And yes i AM a disciple of Rikard! How could you tell!?
I joined a lizardmen forum a year ago, and was inspired to sart sculpting since then, before that i had hardly touched GS! I still post my stuff up there, but i hardly get any feedback  :|

But for now, my reservoir of inspiration has dried up, help me replenish it's potentially fruitful waters!!!

Yes, well, I was part of that site too, but I stopped going there some time ago... instead going here and TWF far more often then I ever visited TPV. Indeed much more/better response on other sites than TPV.

And concerning Rikard... If there's anyone that can sculpt LM (especially Nakai) like Hell's Patron, it's Rikard. I think I do see some of his influence on your work. :)

Concerning the FSOD vs Lore of Metal; don't you have to roll that spell? And to take a Slann to teh battlefield just for flinging Molten Silver at artillery, is a little expensive ain't it?

Anyway, I haven't seen a JSOD yet, the Kroxigor is just dying for some mates (I can tell ) and why not give Nakai another go while you're at this level? :D
Or try sculpting a new Vargulf; instead of something bat-like a werewolf (I like werewolves)? Or a vampire with a Fly power (instead of the silly one-winged vampire).
Or maybe, while you're at this site, something like a Tyrant, or inovative Giant, or some awesome Maneater?

See, ideas all around. :P

Awesome Skink, and the Strigoi Vamp on your CD blog is stunning. Also, in the inspiration category of things, you could make reptilian centaurs counting as Cold One Riders seeing as you have such great success with Bull Centaurs!

Hmmmm.....Lizardcentaurs.....

Slash: Hey sorry man i got the name wrong! I was just scrolling up and glanced at the name you know how it is...

Whats TWF?

Did i say anything about a slann? The SKINK does the magic, and dont diss the molten silver! *shakes fist*

Ahhhhh yes the vargulf...i'd forgotten completely about that...i've always wanted to give one a go..., i would sculpt more kroxigor, AND Nakai, but i put so much effort into making one kroxigor, let alone 2 more, plus you need a hell of alot of putty..

Hmmm...you have indeed got the proverbial ball rolling...

Imma sorry, I see I read over the Sacred Spawning thing. Well, if it works for you, keep at it! :D

Now go get some putty and off to work for you, mate! Chop chop!

After all, painting 100 night goblins is something you do in the morning just before you are off to work.

And I think you missed a 0 when you wrote 11 armies. The correct nr should be 110 armies I would think, based on your painting speed.

So good to see converted lizardmen, don't see that too much.  Helps that yours are some rock solid conversions, great stuff all over.  The quetzl saurus may be my fav, followed by the Nikai and your krox.  Excellent work throughout though :D

Boss_Salvage: Yeah, it's a dire shame that you don't see more Lizardmen conversions, as a miniature range they don't have too much converting potential, but with a little imagination it can be done!

It does help that you can sculpt at least a little bit, there are many great ideas out there but very little people have the expertise or the drive to do them. IMO, if done well, on the table a well painted or converted Lizardmen army is a sight to behold!

I just hope one day i'll be able to make an army, i'm one of those sort of people who concentrate on one or a few models at a time, i have never done an entire army before!

My goal is to do a heavily converted 500 pt force, i have my character (may do another saurus), i am working on my unit of quetzil saurus (test-paintwork started on a few), i suppose ill have to do some skinks (i have never liked large batches of models  :|)...any veteran Lizzie players out there that could give me advice on an army list?

Also, it is strange how so many people like one of my first models (Nakai), i suppose one day, if i have the time, motavation and putty, ill re-sculpt a new one, and see what difference a few months of practice has done!

Once again thanks for the support, in this short time this website has by far given the most feedback,i hope you will be so encouraging with my future work!!  :P

Stay tuned space fans!

Wonderful mini. I don't see alot of converted lizardmen, and you've done a great job on this one.
If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.

Sorry for the long wait me lavleys...

Here is my Scar Veteran of Quetzil, Boq-Gar, entirely sculpted from scratch!

To stand him out as the leader, i have made him larger than a normal saurus ,i'm a firm beleiver of the orc rule 'He who iz bigga den dem ova buggers getz tah boss 'em around' or in the case of Chaos Dwarfs, he who has the biggest hat :P

Also, i've given him more scales, to show hes the Spawning of Quetzil, and his left eye is missing, to show he's a grizzled old veteran..

I consider this one of my best yet, and the pics REALLY dont do it justice!

Comments???

Damn, thats some good skill you've got there!

As said by others you don't tend to see converted Lizardmen so it makes a refreshing change, I like the Skink priest the best.

Keep the good stuff coming, here's a Gnoblar to help you along (I'm sure a Tallhat can put one to use somehow ;))
