Looks pretty nicely painted to me.

It *is* costly. Certainly more than I would pay, but if you don't paint yourself and are keen on acquiring a limited edition model then it's not outrageous.

Not bad, but have to paint him myself, wich I can now do, mine arrived this morning, yay.

He is a really nice model over all, I think at least.

Look, not that Im saying this model is painted absolutely brilliantly or anything, but what is it you all see that makes it so terrible, what am I missing?

I can't see what all the hate's for either. It's better painted than most of the models that are shown here, and while not golden demon standard is certainly of a very nice tabletop standard.

It's well painted. By this I mean that if you took all of the WFB players in the world, it is better than probably half of them could do. It is not superbly painted (as the description says). I think there were some very poor colour choices made, which confuses the focus of the model. The slaves are too bright and Braugh himself is too dark. The lighting also is very poor in the photos.

That said, even if I was a total painting hack, I would strip it and start over. Painting is an important part of the hobby for me.

I said awfully painted, in regards of its cost.
Ho is willing to pay over 150 euros for a model that is not golden deamon painted? I certanly am not.
If it cost less, the paint job would have been proportioned.
CMON has models that are painted a lot better and cost less... Of course, we are talking about Braugh slavelord: the rarest mini of all... Being the rarest mini of all I wouold have expected a bit more detail to it.

I've seen unpainted versions go as high as $500 american!
Now THAT'S crazy.
I like my toys and all, but WHOA.

The slavelord is pretty cool. I don't like the unit of slaves you have to field him with. (its in his rules...)
Kinda un-Ogre-ish. I figure he would have eaten everyone by now.

Is that actually an official miniature?
I've never seen it before. One of my favourite "fluff" characters too!

Yes, it's an official model, however probably the most rare as well. There where only 300 made, and then they broke the mold. They where then handed out to certain GW managers as a Gift.

Now, they made 300, and I've seen at least 4 conversions using the model, that makes only 296 left, max.

And guess what, I've got one of them.

i really think the slavelord is an awful sculpt. the concept for the charecter gives so much scope for a great mini and this certainly doesnt deliver. rare yes and proberly a good investment as they will become rarer and rarer and therefore worth more but i wouldnt pay £5 for this.
