The snowmen (2400)

Level 4 SM with dispel scroll and favorite 5 point magic sword.
BSB Bruiser with Standard of Discipline

The Hunters
Level 4 SM with dispel scroll, crown of command, sword of striking

A unit of 10x Sabertusks, accompanied by a
--Hunter with Shield of Ptolos (1+ save vs shooting), and Longstrider Bigname (+1 movement)
A unit of 10x Sabertusks, accompanied by a
--Hunter with Armor of Silvered Steel (2+ save), additional hand weapon
Two Stonehorns, with harpoon launchers

Redo this one to min core and add it two units of ME's, one with Scout and the other Vanguard.  Four units just over 12" away on turn one.  That could be fun.

I maintain that this list can actually work because very few armies wil be prepared to face 3 mammoths of destruction. If you wanted it slightly more competitive you could probably make a horde of bulls and swap the mournfangs and a few items to get a BSB in there with either discipline or the rune maw. I think i wil go run the numbers on this now....


Ok, maths tells me i cant fit a hunter on stonehorn and BSB in the hero allowance, i did notice that this can be done though:

Slaughtermaster, level 4
Hunter on stonehorn
17 Ironguts, Standard bearer with standard of discipline
Thundertusk
Thundertusk
3 individual sabretusks

Run a thundertusk eitherside and slightly back from the horde so everyone they fight strikes simultaneously, hunter on stonehorn is there to look menacing and maybe try to protect a flank. This would even leave a whopping 20 pts for magic items :)

3 monsters and one vicious horde of ogres, i'm tempted to give that a try

Noisy Assassin:
I'm also really tempted to try the triple monster list at 2K. I'd probably drop the Ironguts to 11+FC+Std of Discipline (518pts, perfectly fills core) and use the left over points for 2 units of 2 Mourns for flank charges and taking out small annoying enemy units (or even wizard hunting). Could be quite fun indeed, and no one would expect it!
