Grapeshot Question

(1/2) > >>

Mr. Cthulhu:
Little bit of a noob-ish question, but after I resolve how many shots are fired with an Ironblaster, I then need to roll to hit using the Leadbelcher's BS, correct? Do I also take moving and firing and other penalties into consideration?

Thanks in advance for the help!!

(going against WoC tonight, let's hope everything goes well)

MaanNaam:
That is correct.  grapeshot fires like a normal LB, roll for shots, roll for hits, roll for wounds.

The difference is the IB does take penalties for long range AND moving & shooting so you are hitting on 6's most of the time.

Mr. Cthulhu:
Perfect! Thank you for clarifying. Although, not so perfect on the "hitting on 6's most of the time thing." That makes for an unhappy Tyrant...

Thanks again!

Gutlord Inquisitor:
Yeah it seems that way. I've always got the impression that "over half range" penalties for grapeshot weren't intended to apply, there doesn't seem to be anything saying otherwise so maybe it is.

Still, there's nothing saying any and all penalties don't apply.

Grapeshot just isn't all that, but sometimes you end up too close to something to use the cannon and unable to charge and it's worth a punt if you can hit something at short range without moving. I blew away a hellcannon with grapeshot once so sometimes it can work!

Mr. Cthulhu:
It seems I didn't need to use it after all in the game, but the Ironblaster was the cause of most of the carnage the whole game. Never leave camp without one! (or 2)
