When/how to remove models during combat?
(1/1)
tentel:
So my buddy and I just had an odd circumstance during a prolonged combat between his greatswords and my ogres on his front and my Mournfangs on his flank.
I chewed through most of them over the course of a couple combats and then was only a rank left. I attacked with my mounted ogres in the third round, but after they killed and wounded a couple greatswords, there were no longer any models in base contact for my Mournfangs to attack. Did they just lose all their attacks?
On one hand that makes sense, but on the other hand the Mournfangs where supposed to attack at the same initiative.
Legend:
x Greatsword
OO
OO Ogre
MM Mournfang
At the start of combat:
OO
xxOO
xxOO
xxOO
xxOO
xxOO
MMMM
After all the Ogres attack:
OO
xOO
xOO
xOO
xOO
OO
MMMM
My Mournfangs lose all their attacks and stomps?
grey templar:
Your mournfangs would indeed be out of combat.
However, since the Riders and Kitties go at the same inititive you will still get all the attacks.
tentel:
But if the Mournfang were at a lower initiative they would not get to attack?
One more question, what is the definition of the "Controlling player" in the rule book? Is it the player whose turn it is, or the player who controls the particular unit in question? A specific reference clarifying this would be great.
grey templar:
If the MF were at a lower I then they would lose their attacks.
As for what Controlling Player means, it means the player who owns the unit in question.
