I did wrong with my list at the very last moment. Should have kept it the way it is above. I played with this:
Lvl 4 slaughtermaster
Lore of the death
Armour of destiny, hellheart
Ruby ring of ruin, heavy armour, enchanted shield, look-out gnoblar, sword of might
Lvl 1 butcher
Lore of the great maw
Gamblers armour, warrior bane, luckstone
Standard, bellower, ironfists
Standard, bellower, standard of discipline
VC had lvl 4 vampire lord in a 5*8? (cant remember how many ranks) zombies, lvl 2 necromancer in 10*4 skeletons, another lvl 2 necromancer with character banshee in 10*4 skeletons also, 6*5 grave guard regiment, corpsecart and 5 wolves.
I would have done well without any magic
The only wounds I caused with my SM's magic, during the hole game, (if not including hellheart, which is indeed usefull) were the ones done to my own ogres. I did one wound to my bsb and SM and killed 3 ogres with miscast :p VC had also bad luck in magic, and didin't do anything devastating during the game.
I keep it short. Thundertusk and leadbelchers charged into skeletons (the one with the banshee. This happened in round 3. Both necromancers had left their units. Also, ogrehorde charged the another skeletons). Howl did few wounds to my mammoth, but in two rounds the regiment and banshee were gone. I pursuited to both necromancers. Gorger game to VC's rear and forced him to do some tactical moves
Ogrehorde finished skeletons in a one round, no wonder, and pursuited. I wanted to get out of the grave guards LOS. Ogrehorde ended up being flanked by vampire and zombies. I won the first round by 1. It was a bit harsh, when vampire did 4 wounds to my SM, but 4+ ward saved all of them. Bsb and SM killed just enough zombies (stomps included
). Round 4 or 5 Gorger charged zombies flank, leadbelchers charged the corpsecart, thundertusk and ironguts charged the grave guard (thundertusk to their flank).
At the end of the 5th round only thing VC still had were the wolves. I had lost gorger, 1 leadbelcher, 3-4 ogres, 4 ironguts, one wound from and 4 wounds from thundertusk. Thundertusk shot the few remaining wolves, which had not melted away.
Sorry for my bad english.
