Cork board
« on: Aug 12, 2011, 10:33:56 AM »
Does anyone know where (in the UK) I can get some cheap cork to use for basing? All my search sesults just come up cork boards that you pin notices on, or should I just rip these frames off to get to the cork?

Thanks,
TLK

When I want anything to do with modelling I follow a simple process;

I go to Antenociti's Workshop.
I then click 'Scratch builders paradise'
Enter the keyword and  taadaaaaa

You're looking for the craft cork roll at the bottom  ;)

I have absolutely no ties to AW, it's just amazingly awesome and has everything you could ever need for modelling at decent prices as long as you look hard enough (the site isn't the best to navigate)

Though I am intrigued at a project that needs both stripped plastic and cork board...

You are a cryptic soul, TLK! ;)

Wickes in England sell cheap packs of cork floor tiles - 3 square feet(or nine 1ft by 1ft tiles for the unmathmatic) for the princely sum of about £6.50. More cork than you should ever need, and if not , buy 2 packs.

Well can you show me where to get a load of small toy pistols so I can model up a heavily armed group of ME's with extra pistols?    :D

@Kobahl

I would peruse the Chinese bulk toy websites, Im sure they have something somewhere that would meet your needs. (This is a totally random thought and I have never done it, so take it as you may ;) )
