June Painting Challenge!

Just joining in? The idea is, you make a promise to paint and/or convert a given number of models at the beginning of the month, and report back with your progress, if and when you manage to complete it. From here on out we will refer to this as your "Pledge"!

The Rules:

All Pledges will be frozen After the 10th Day of the Month. There is no changing of *any* pledge after day 10. Pledges are still accepted after the 10th of the month, but they can not be changed once they are made.
When you finish your pledge you will be rewarded by the bronzing of your name on the List of pledges below. If you would like You can then go on to add a Bonus pledge and look really impressive. However, your name can not be bronzed before the freezing of the Pledges on the 10th. Any additions to your pledge made before the 10th go onto your initial pledge and will not count as a Bonus pledge.
We need to know The number of Models when you post your pledge. 3, 8, 10, or even 100.. Saying "A unit" is not acceptable..

*Please* post The progression of your work ((pictures if at all possible)). One of the best things about this thread is watching everyone's work come together. It's perfectly fine if you don't post any photos, however. Feel free to make separate posts, and then link into this thread so that others can comment directly in your own thread in the Butchers cauldron or your Gnoblog.

FAQ
Q: So I can Only do Ogre Kingdoms or GW Minis, for my pledge?
A: No. There isn't anything stopping you from building and/or painting anything you like, However this the Ogre Stronghold, I think most of us would prefer to see Ogre models. If you're working on one of your other Armies, and/or any other Models please feel free to make a Pledge.

Q: I need to change my Pledge!
A: well.. You have until the 10th day of the month.

Q: What if I don't have a camera?
A: We operate on the honour system. If you say you did it, we believe you. There are no prizes, so you only get the satisfaction of lying on the internet if you choose to do so.

Q: Will you do one of these every month?
A: That's the goal... We'll do one of these close to the beginning of every month...

Q: What if I finish my pledge but decide to do more?
A: Paint away! If you mean, can you get a head start on next month, I guess so. But it's not as big of an accomplishment to make a pledge with 75% of the project painted at the start of the month... Thats not to say that sometimes the last 25% of the project your working on Is not more than worth being a pledge of its own..

Q. I have not completed my Pledge for the past Few months, should I still enter?
A. You bet! The idea behind a painting challenge is to develop some discipline as to what you're going to build or paint. Part of the challenge is to learn what you can complete within a given month, and what you can't. If you find you're not able to complete your pledge for the month, then reduce the size of it.

Q. What if I get my Pledge done early?
A: Well, if you get it done early, you can try to make a Bonus pledge where you can add an additional challenge only after the existing work is completed. No bonus prizes to be won, but you will get the respect of everybody. Additionally, this can be a way to make sure you don't overdue your original pledge..

After messing up for the last few challenges

this is THE one!
I'm going for a huuuge one to get ready for Summer Incursion at Maelstrom games.
As follows;

Gonna be a rough month at work so I'm going small: I'll paint up a giant for my WoC (except for the base- not sure what theme yet) and do some greenstuff to turn 6 river trolls into chaos trolls.

I pledge to create a sweet base model for my whole army and paint at least my Bruiser.
Furthermore, I want to finish converting my command crew (ironguts) and paint all three models!

Really Crazy Month.. Cant promise a lot. Which makes doing commissions almost impossible right now..
But I do have a project thats literally been staring me in the face since January....

And I think it deserves to be done..

I pledge to paint up 18 bulls (2x 9 unit of bulls, 1 with a butcher and 1 with a army standard bearer).

And another 8 Ironguts for my allready finished 9 Ironguts with my female Tyrant.

Last but not least I am going to paint 2 units of 30 Gnoblars (6 broad and 5 rows deep).

So far i failed all of mine, but i'm gonna try this month ;

- Paint 2 new Savage Orc, and finishing Calzag
- Paint something Dark Eldar... still undecided what i'll buy, either a Grotesque, some Wracks, or a Talos.

Well save the Dark eldar for later.. Gives you something for your Bonus pledge and a chance to get down to the store and pick them up..

Being done with my undergraduate degree and having some time before starting a "place holder" job while looking for a better position I may I some free time so hopefully this goes better than the Maneater contest did.

2 finalize/ paint converted butches
24 gnoblars converted and painted

I'll start small and try to finish it rather than going too big.

Well.. Ive been kicking butt the last couple of Days.

Shrewd is almost 100%
Ive Ordered some paint, brushes, air brush Nozzles, And a few other odds and ends. If they get here soon I might be able to fit in a Bonus pledge and get this guy painted..

That's a hard act to follow and I can't compare with your sculpting skill but here are what the butchers look like so far.

I have finished my gorger (maneater competition), 2 lead belchers (gnoblog) and 2 ironguts (gnoblog) i accidently finished another bull in the progress
