Charge Response: Flee
WHmaster:
What does your unit do when you decide to charge and your target flees do you move the full 12" and can you pursue or do you not move at all?
Wildcard:
If they flee, but don't get out of your charge range - due to a low roll, then they get run into and killed
If they flee you move a normal move (6" for ogres)
don't forget, you can redirect if the opportunity presents itself.
WHmaster:
but you cant move 6" and than pursue them?
Cirrus:
When a unit declares a charge and teh target flees: A couple things are done. First teh fleer must roll his runniging distance. Then if that distance does not put his unit out of your max charge range you go 12" and his unit is destroyed. If the fleers out pace you then you fail teh charge and move 6" unless you decide to redirect and a unit is a valid target for teh redirect. You will never stand still if an opponent flees from you.
ikim:
Remember though: according to the actual rules (since this will change in 7th ed.) you can redirect the charge only against a target yu could have not charged in the first place.
cheers
